More pictures of Reigndear! :)

My good friend, Reign and I had an "agreement" for our engagements, it was sort of an ex-deal, she was going to model for me on our graduation and I was going to do her make up for her PoleDolls photoshoot.

Here are the fruits of my labor and some pictures taken from Reign's cam. I'm still waiting for the raw photos and will update once I get my hands on them! :D

Now, be amazed by her prowess! :) And, like them PoleDolls on Facebook.

Geez! How I wish I can do even half of their pole dancing skills. Haha!!

my so-called skincare regimen

I never really followed any rigorous skincare regimen when I was in high school or in college. For me, the task of doing the cleanse-tone-moisturize routine was exhausting and unnecessary (or it was just the laziness taking over again). I only relied on my trusty bath soap before since it was doing such a great job in keeping my skin clear and acne-free.

...Or so I thought.

Much to my dismay, my skin begun to "act up". I would get annoying breakouts; pimples started popping here and there, one after the other. It was a pain in the *SS! So, I thought that maybe because of years and years of not doing the "routine", my skin was beginning to take its toll on me. Gahhh!! I had to act fast and think of a solution. I tried soooo many products, I wasted money on a lot of them since they did nothing for my breakouts. Then, I discovered organic products, and I'm so happy that I tried them!

Now, I present to you my skin BFFs:

(from left to right) Human <3 Nature Sunflower Cleansing Oil, Human <3 Nature  Sunflower Beauty Oil, Human <3 Nature Moisturizing Day Fluid and Dickinson's Witch Hazel

Here's my take on these products: (note that I've been using these for more than a month now)

Human <3 Nature Sunflower Cleansing Oil
--- This is so effective in removing stubborn, waterproof makeup. I'd use a cotton ball or a cotton pad for this, let it soak in my eye and face for a few minutes then wipe it off with baby wipes. It leaves skin oily though so I'd still wash my face with soap and water after (unless you like the oily, gunky feel, then choose to leave it that way..hehe!)

Human <3 Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil
--- It claims to help lighten dark under eye circles, dark spots and pimple marks, and amazingly, IT DOES JUST THAT AND MORE!! But, it is not an overnight thing, you have to be a bit diligent with this for it to work. I find that it is less greasy and easily absorbed by the skin compared to the cleansing oil. I usually leave on pea-size amount of this fluid on my face at night. However, I've read on some reviews that they use this during the day as a moisturizer, but I find it too oily. And, that is why I bought the next product.

Human <3 Nature Day Moisturizing Fluid
--- Well, this one is just an OK product for me. It moisturizes without being greasy and icky and that's good enough to merit my liking. And, the best thing about this is that it doesn't break me out. The other products I've tried (ehemm Olay Total Effects!) TOTALLY failed in that area!

Dickinson's Witch Hazel
--- It claims that it cleans deep down to your pores, but I don't really know how that feels so I can't comment on that. Haha! All I know is that I get this refreshing feeling after I use it. Beware of the smell though, it was overpowering at first but it doesn't bother me now. I guess my nose just got used to it. Another con of this product is that it is so hard to find! They say that you can buy this at Healthy Options but it's always out of stock! Well, I guess I'd have to use it sparingly until I find another bottle. *sigh*

**If you guys are wondering, you can buy Human <3 Nature products in Landmark Trinoma or you can order here.

Avant garde makeup with Reign

Bridal photoshoot with Reign

All journeys must start somewhere.

My journey to becoming the next top model a makeup artist wasn't just a spur of the moment thing. It took a lot of thinking and planning. I spent a lot of time searching the net for the best school for me while considering a lot of things such as teacher-student ratio, tuition etc. etc. But all the research paid off really well since I believe that I picked a very good school.

School was tough! I never thought it would be that hard since, let's face it, it was just makeup! At first, I thought that I would just breeze through all the lessons since I already knew how to put makeup on myself and I have also done makeup during dance competitions and concerts. But, I was SO wrong. On our first day, I finished doing the "day-look" after about 5 freakin hours!! I comatosed when I got home that day.

School lasted for 8 gruelling days. On the 8th day, we we're all glad (and relieved) to graduate.  And a great way to end our misery (haha!) was to have a photoshoot for 2 makeup looks, which were bridal and avant garde. Now, I present to you a sneak peek to some of my works from the shoot:

There you go folks. I'm going to create a tab of some sort here to house my portfolio, but I'm currently confused on how to do it. Hahaha!

XoXXoo (if you read it the Nacho Libre way: big kiss, small hug, big kiss, big kiss, small hug, small hug)

Introduction (drum roll please....)

Makeup never failed to amaze me. I remember when I was a kid, I would rummage through my mom's kit and with my sister as my model, I would copy Queen Amidala's  makeup look, complete with the red dots on her cheeks and that red lip. I even want to believe that I'm the one who pioneered the "ombre" lips that everyone's been raving about since I would haphazardly do that look on my sister when I was in grade school. Hahaha!

Well, fast forward to today, I realized that I wanted that love and passion to flourish further. So, I took a very big leap, pursued my dreams (despite how appalled the people around me were) and studied makeup at HD Makeup Academy (see link here http://www.hdmakeupacademy.com/) After the training, of course, comes the portfolio and that's basically what this site is for (with some inclusions of my crazy commentaries). Teehee! And just for the sake of giving you something trivial, I named my site "loudlips" because:  #1: I literally am one heck of a loud-mouth (minus the negative connotation, of course), and #2: I looovvee lovvee love loud, "in your face" lipsticks eversince I got tired of putting on eye makeup. :))

Sooo, I welcome all of you to my world of makeup, beauty, random ramblings and whatnot, and join me as I try to beautify the world one face at a time (or an entourage at a time, whatever fits) LOL!
